- Is DesignCraft a licensed contractor?
- Yes. DesignCraft holds a Class C Contractor License from the Virginia Department of Professional
and Occupational Regulation. (You may verify this by clicking
here to link to the "Search Licensee" section of the Department's web site. Under "Contractors," select
the box for "Contractor Businesses" and then enter DesignCraft in the search box at Item
2.)
-
- Is DesignCraft insured?
- Yes. DesignCraft carries General Liability Insurance through Erie Insurance Company. If you require
a Certificate of Insurance before work may begin, this should be requested at least two weeks prior
to the scheduled start date.
-
- Who will be working in my home?
- When you enlist the services of DesignCraft, you enlist Fedi Geczy who performs all site visits and
everything involved with the project from set-up to clean-up. On occasion (depending on the scope
of the project or the size of the components), a helper may be needed. If so, this helper will always
be a fellow craftsman with an independent business or trade--not a day laborer--and Fedi will always
be present.
-
- Will there be a lot of saw dust or other debris?
- All major cutting of parts, moldings, etc., will take place outdoors. Minor cuts (such as a hole
in the back of a cabinet to accommodate an outlet or plumbing fixture) will take place indoors on
top of movers’ blankets.
-
- What is DesignCraft's payment schedule?
- In most cases, a 50% deposit is required in order to put your project on the production schedule
and before work may begin, with the balance being due upon completion. Any differing, mutually-agreed-upon
arrangement will be detailed within the contract.
-
- Are credit cards accepted for payment?
- No. At this time, payments are only accepted in the form of check or cash.
-
- Are financing plans available?
- No. DesignCraft does not have the ability to accommodate loans of any amount.
